Seasoned healthcare and digital health executive joins Wellstand Health as CEO
Wellstand Health, the leading provider of COVID-19 testing solutions for public and private sector organizations and a pioneer in digital health, today announced that Dr. Anthony Napolitano has joined the company as its CEO. As CEO, Dr. Napolitano will be responsible for overseeing operations at all levels from strategy development through market entry activities and play a pivotal role in leading the company through its next phase of growth and global expansion.
Dr. Napolitano is a seasoned healthcare and digital health executive with experience in business development, R&D, venture capital investing, M&A, and intellectual property. Dr. Napolitano joins from Mount Sinai Innovation Partners where he led digital health technology commercialization and was critical in driving company formation, spin-out, and financing for startups such as Trellus Health (LON:TRLS) and Mount Sinai’s recently launched artificial intelligence (AI) powered digital pathology diagnostics company. He has also served in senior positions at Plymouth Capital Management & Advisors and Stryker, and was a founding member of the Joint Preservation business unit at Stryker. He is an inventor on 15 US patents and applications and an author of 5 peer reviewed publications. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University.
"I am thrilled about the addition of Dr. Napolitano to our team. This is a transformative hire as we usher in the next phase of growth for the company," said William Bocra, Jr., Chairman of Wellstand Health and Managing Partner of Baker Martin Capital. "Anthony is a world-class health & wellness executive, and will be a catalyst for driving revenue, providing exceptional service, and delivering incredible outcomes for our clients. I want to thank Co-Founder and Board Member Josh Brammer for his exceptional leadership while serving as interim CEO during the crucial launch stage of Wellstand’s company formation. He will now be fully dedicated to focus on his CRO role, driving accelerated growth for the business."
"I am excited to join such an innovative and dynamic company at this critical juncture. I look forward to working closely with management and our Board of Directors to chart our future course. COVID-19 exposed a startling lack of organizational continuity planning tied to employee wellness, safety, and productivity. Our best in class solutions ensure the safety, security, and health of our clients and their communities during this pandemic and beyond,” said Dr. Anthony Napolitano.
This announcement comes at a significant moment as the need for safe, reliable, and accessible COVID-19 testing is even more important as the Delta variant continues to affect and infect communities across the country. Wellstand Health’s comprehensive testing solutions, delivered by their best in class team are aligned to help these communities continue to maintain continuity during these difficult times.
